Alphonzo "Fon" Boley Greene, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home Wed., May 8, 2002.
Fon was born September 18, 1921 in American Fork, UT to Alphonzo and Hilda Betsy Boley Greene. On December 22, 1949, he married Helen Norene Jones. Their marriage was later solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Fon was raised in Salt Lake City and worked as a car salesman for 35 years. He loved to share his wisdom with his family, loved to build things and he was interested in the ups and downs of the stock market.
Fon is survived by his wife, Norene; three children, Robert H. Greene, Denice Stokes Briggs and Debroah Black all of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Olympus 2nd Ward, 3070 Nila Way (4140 S.), where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
