BOUNTIFUL — Handcart Days parade organizers are looking for clowns, horse entries, antique vehicles, floats, marching bands and anyone wanting to be part of this tradition.

The parade will be Tuesday, July 23, at 6 p.m., and parade officials are inviting civic organizations, businesses, churches, families and individuals to participate. The theme of this year's celebration is "Trail to Freedom," reflecting the events of the past year as well as the heritage of residents.

Other Handcart Days activities will include an arts and crafts exhibit at the Bountiful/Davis Art Center, 745 S. Main, from June 26 through July 24. Entries will be accepted June 14, 15 and 17, according to Clarissa Wagstaff, exhibit chairman.

Additional information may be obtained at BDAC or contacting Wagstaff at 292-6082. New this year will be a musical pageant. The program, "Deseret Destiny," will be presented in the Bountiful Regional Center July 19-20, at 7:30 p.m.
