Clyde David Reaveley, age 36, of Phoenix, AZ, died in an airplane crash May 17, 2002 doing what he loved to do -- flying. He was born Nov. 9, 1965 in Salt Lake City, UT to Clyde Joseph and Ida-Lee Reaveley. David was a graduate of Skyline High School. He was on the basketball team and also enjoyed many other sports. He served an LDS Mission to Hamburg, Germany. He married Melinda Passey Sept. 17, 1987 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, later divorced. Married Kelley Hamilton July 25, 1996. David was a successful entrepreneur, public speaker, and founder or co-founder of several businesses. His passion, charisma, and infectious positive attitude have affected countless individuals nationwide. All who knew him will miss his fun-loving and enthusiastic personality. A loving father and husband, David always considered his most prized possession to be his family, and derived his greatest joy in life from spending time with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly, and his children: Heather Reaveley, Marchele Reaveley, Clyde Jason Reaveley, Jesica Reaveley, Kyle Sabean, and Ryan Sabean; his parents Clyde Joseph and Ida-Lee Reaveley; and his sisters: Jeanette Harris (Jodie), Cynthia Caldwell (Darren), Andrea Curtis (Darin) and Jolene Towers (Geoffrey); and his grandfather Clyde W. Reaveley.
Funeral services and burial were held in Scottsdale, AZ. A memorial service will be held at the LDS Valley View 1st Ward Chapel, 3900 South 2245 East, Salt Lake City, UT on May 30, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Friends may visit with family from 10-10:30 a.m.
