Eight new mission presidents, called by the First Presidency, have been announced. The new leaders and their wives will begin service about July 1. They are:
Steven and Irene Bergstedt
Steven William Bergstedt, 58, Norway Oslo Mission; Monument Park 4th Ward, Salt Lake Foothill Stake; corporate director of physician services for IASIS Healthcare Corp.; gospel doctrine teacher, former stake president, high councilor, bishop, Young Men president; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Henrik Waldemar and Ruth Nilsen Bergstedt. Married Irene Corbett, five children.
An assessment scorer for the Salt Lake School District, she is a Young Women president and has served as Primary teacher, Relief Society president's counselor and Young Women adviser. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Mack Colvin and Grace Lore Perschon Corbett.
Kay and Sarah Diane Christensen
Kay Henrie Christensen, 66, Ukraine Donetsk Mission; Overland Park 1st Ward, Lenexa Kansas Stake; president and CEO of K and D Marketing Group; Area Authority Seventy, former regional representative, regional director of public affairs, stake president and bishop; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Reuel Eldon and Vonda Thea Henrie Christensen. Married Sarah Diane Hougaard, six children.
She is stake director of public affairs and community relations, and is a former ward music director, stake and ward Relief Society president and manager of regional employment center. She was born in Manti, Utah, to Giles Thomas and Sarah Tuttle Hougaard.
Raymunda Cezith and Saul Duarte
Saul Rodrigues Duarte, 51, Brazil Recife Mission; Fonseca Ward, Niteroi Brazil Stake; professor at Maria Tereza Faculty and University of Salgado Oliveira, retired military officer and personnel manager for Church regional office; former stake president's counselor, branch president, bishop and counselor; born in Manaus, Brazil, to Antonio Pinheiro and Maria de Nazare Rodriques Duarte. Married Raymunda Cezith Moreira Da Cunha Scatolini R., three children.
Partner and manager of Repor Art, she is Relief Society president, former public affairs administrator in the Rio de Janeiro multi-stake council, stake Primary and Young Women president and ward Young Women president. She was born in Pirassununga, Brazil, to Antonio and Therezinha Angelia Moreira da Cunha Scatolini.
Ann and Daryl Hobson
Daryl Kitt Hobson, 62, Cape Verde Praia Mission; Highland View Ward, Salt Lake Canyon Rim Stake; assistant to vice president of DMBA; bishop's counselor in the Timpanogos Branch at Draper Prison, former high councilor, Venture leader, bishop and counselor; born in Boise, Idaho, to Max McCormick and Viola Kitt Hobson. Married Sharon Ann Taylor, three children.
A freelance writer and editor, she is a literacy tutor and editor of branch newspaper, former Relief Society and Primary president, Lambda Delta Sigma adviser and Young Women adviser. She was born in Oswaldtwistle, England, to H. Lester and Sallie Berry Taylor.
Berenice and Adelson Parrella

Mary Merle and Robert Seeley
Robert Thomas Seeley, 66, Mexico Puebla Mission; Newtown Ward, New Haven Connecticut Stake; consultant, self-packaging matters; ward mission leader, former stake president and counselor, bishop and high priests group leader; born in Preston, Idaho, to Theron James and Martha Thomas Seeley. Married Mary Merle Thomas, four children.
A musician and flute teacher, she is a gospel doctrine teacher and former stake choral director, stake music chairman, Relief Society president and Young Women president's counselor. She was born in Lovell, Wyo., to Reed Johnson and Helen Olson Thomas.
George and JoAnna Stewart
George Owen Stewart, 62, Argentina Neuquen Mission; Edgemont 13th Ward, Provo Utah Edgemont North Stake; vice president and general manager of XO Communications, former mayor of Provo, Utah; currently serving full-time in Provo Utah Mission on the Navajo Reservation, former high councilor, bishop and counselor and high priests group leader; born in Phoenix, Ariz., to Joseph Leonard and Marjorie Esther Brand Stewart. Married JoAnna Mackay, 11 children.

Boyd Keith and Clifta Tobler
Boyd Keith Tobler, 63, Peru Chiclayo Mission; Lehi 19th Ward, Lehi Utah East Stake; retired dentist; chairman of the Missionary Dental Health Advisory Committee, Sunday School teacher, priests quorum adviser, high councilor and bishop; born in Hurricane, Utah, to Keith Ernest and Carol Hafen Tobler.
