Salt Lake-based Questar Corp. on Tuesday announced changes in management at its Questar Market Resources subsidiary.

Gary L. Nordloh will retire as president and chief executive officer of QMR and affiliates, as executive vice president of Questar Corp., and a member of Questar's board of directors, effective Nov. 1. Nordloh will remain on QMR's board of directors and serve as an adviser to senior management.

Charles B. Stanley, currently the subsidiary's executive vice president and chief operating officer, will take over as president and CEO of QMR and affiliates and executive vice president of Questar Corp., effective Nov. 1.

Nordloh has served as QMR president and CEO since 1991 and was named a Questar director in 1996. Stanley joined Questar in February. He has worked for the Virginia Geologic Survey, British Petroleum Co., Maxus Energy Corp. and Coastal Corp. Following the El Paso Corp. merger, Stanley was named president and CEO of El Paso's Canadian exploration and production business.

Questar Market Resources handles gas and oil exploration and production and other nonregulated activities.

Also this week, Questar's board of directors approved an 18-cents-per-share quarterly common stock dividend, the 231st consecutive dividend without a reduction. The dividend is payable Sept. 16 to shareholders of record Aug. 23.
