Congressional approval of a permanent repository for spent nuclear fuel at Yucca Mountain, Nev., has not affected a continuing Nuclear Regulatory Commission review of Private Fuel Storage's application to store nuclear waste on tribal lands owned by the Skull Valley Band of Goshutes. A story in Friday's Deseret News indicated otherwise. Also, the NRC has five commissioners rather than eight, as previously reported.
