Mary Elizabeth Wilson Clayburn Withers, our beloved wife, daughter and sister, passed away August 20, 2002 at home with her husband where she wanted to be.

Mary was born June 2, 1953 to Carlyle and Ethel Wilson in Murray, Utah. She married Thomas N. Clayburn (deceased) in the Salt Lake Temple. She married Melvin R. Withers on April 23, 1986.

In spite of being diagnosed with a physically debilitating disease at age 12, and confined to a wheel chair, Mary showed a fighting spirit as she graduated from Hillcrest High School. She lived her life with faith and determination, not giving up even at the end. She enjoyed playing games with and spoiling her nieces and nephews, making and giving away food, cards and gifts.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Mel, who has been her constant companion and caregiver for the past 16 years; parents; brothers, Tracy (Glenna), Lehi; Carl (On), Spokane; John (Sharon), LaVerkin; Byron (Vivian), Midvale; sister, Ruth (Kim) Hagen, Midvale, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
