In one fell swoop, Tom Murphy has proven beyond any doubt that the Americas were peopled by Asians crossing the Bering Strait — something anthropologists and archaeologists have claimed for decades.

Those wishing to prove the Book of Mormon false seem rather excited and willing to embrace the teachings of the scientific world. At least when it serves their purpose.

Are they willing to take the big step and accept the time frame given for the migration? Scientists estimate the crossing was made 15,000 to 30,000 years ago. That is, for many believers, 9,000 to 24,000 years before Adam and Eve.

This may prove to be a problem for those who believe that God would never allow any mistakes in the holy scriptures. However, when trying to expose Joseph Smith as a fraud and the Book of Mormon as a hoax, surely a few thousand years isn't too much of a compromise to make.
