AMERICAN FORK — The American Fork High School PTSA is sponsoring a reading seminar Saturday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. in the American Fork High School auditorium, 510 N. 600 East.

Parents and educators dealing with reading problems in children will hear presentations by Kathleen Brown of the University of Utah Reading Clinic and Nancy Hennessy, president of the International Dyslexia Association.

The seminar will address oral reading; silent reading comprehension below intelligence level; math word problems; reversals or omissions of letters, syllables and small words when reading or writing; and more.

Utah County parents of children with dyslexia are forming at Utah chapter of the International Dyslexia Association. Those interested should attend the seminar or contact the group at 756-7476 or 756-1159.
