Sara Ott Littlefield, 89, of Tropic, Utah died December 30, 2002, in Panguitch, Utah.
She was born October 4, 1913, in Tropic, Utah to James R. and Janette Johnson Ott. She was one of the first graduates from Tropic High School in 1932. She attended beauty school in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Malen Moroni Littlefield, May 5, 1936, in the St. George Temple. He preceded her in death April 10, 1996. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years. After her retirement, she and Malen moved back to Tropic. She loved to work in the yard and particularly enjoyed roses. She loved children in town and gave them candy and was known by many as "The Candy Lady." She was always active in the LDS church serving in many capacities.
She is survived by three children, James W. (Susan) Littlefield, Ashland, OR; JaNell Cook, Arlington, VA; Stephen M. (Nancy) Littlefield, Farm-ington; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother Wallace Ott, Tropic; sisters Agnes Littlefield, Tropic; Rose Olsen, Orem. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Malen; brothers: Joseph Ott, James Ott, Layton Ott; sisters: Hope Wintch, Louie Shakespeare.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. in the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
