A red nose and fogged glasses show the sub-zero weather as Anne Mary of Bresinger, Canada, comes inside after checking ski conditions at a ski resort in Jay, Vt., Tuesday. The temperature was -12 and wind gusts were 35-50 mph on the summit. She decided not to ski. A cold wave has been hitting communities from northern Plains into New England.
