Salt Lake area Catholic schools will celebrate Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 26-31 with a variety of events.
St. Vincent de Paul School in Holladay will participate in a national marketing campaign developed by the National Catholic Educational Association and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
The theme for the event is " Catholic Schools: Making a World of Difference." St. Vincent de Paul will hold a special Mass at 10 a.m. on Sunday which will be followed by an open house and refreshments at the school. Student Council members will give tours of the school.
More events are planned at school during the week.
There are approximately 120,000 registered Catholics (plus an estimated 75,000 unregistered Catholics, migrant workers, etc.) in Utah. Some 3,739 children are enrolled in a total of 10 Catholic schools throughout the state.
