The University of Utah women's basketball team remained unbeaten in the Mountain West Conference with a 15-point win at San Diego State Saturday. With the 59-44 win, the Utes improve to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in league play. Utah shot just under 44 percent from the field on the game, including 13-of-17 from the charity stripe.

The Utes, who maintained control throughout the contest, also held San Diego State to just 38 percent shooting and out-rebounded the Aztecs 32 to 26.

"It was so nice to get these two wins on the road," coach Elaine Elliott said of her team's wins over San Diego State and UNLV. "It really takes a lot of pressure off us."

The Utes, who scored 24 points in the paint, got big games from junior post players Carley Marshall and Mandie Little. Marshall led all scorers with 19 points, while freshman Kim Smith added 13 points and Little finished with nine.

Utah travels to Provo next Saturday, Feb. 1, for a 3:30 p.m. game at Brigham Young, which lost to UNLV Rebels Saturday night.
