PLEASANT GROVE — The Utah State Medical Examiners Office used dental records to identify a body found Jan. 18 in the Tooele desert as Tony Waicheong Tsoi of Pleasant Grove.

Pleasant Grove Police Capt. Cody Cullimore said his department and the Tooele County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death, but declined to discuss details.

"There are some suspicious things about this death," Cullimore said. "We're going to be looking at those."

Tsoi, who was 37, disappeared Oct. 26, 2001. He was last seen that day at his job with Wells Fargo in Salt Lake City. His abandoned vehicle was found five weeks later in West Valley City.

Tsoi's body was found by ATV riders in the desert approximately 3 miles west of the Five Mile Pass area, Pleasant Grove Police Capt. Cody Cullimore said.
