Bernice Mabel Leicht Simmons ("Bunny") passed away peacefully, at age 90, on Saturday, January 25th, 2003 at her home in Rexburg, Idaho.
She was born on May 2, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her parents were Lydia Scovil and John J. Leicht. She grew up in Preston, Idaho. She was married to Everett Malcolm Simmons, who preceded her in death in 1982. They raised their family in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Her children are a daughter, Beverly Simmons Halliday, (Richard, deceased 2000) and a son, Jack Everett Simmons (Linda). Grandchildren, Cindi Halliday Farnworth (Michael), Richard L. Halliday (Kristina), Brent A. Halliday (Michelle), Elissa Simmons Davis (Shaun), Chad E. Simmons (Laura) and Matthew S. Halliday (Tracy). Great-grandchildren, Bradin Farnworth, Camie Farnworth Ruden (Nathan), Meggan Halliday, Jeffrey Farnworth, Collin Halliday, Caitlin Halliday, Logan Halliday, Kelli Davis, McCall Halliday, Trevor Davis, Josie Simmons, Nicole Davis.
She lived a long, productive life caring for her loving family, who will miss her very much.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30th, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. There will be a viewing from 10-11 a.m. the same day. Burial will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
