Helen Hancock Farnsworth, 85, passed away January 28, 2003.

Born August 31, 1917, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leslie E. and Ethel V. Gale Hancock. Graduated from East High School and Attended BYU. Worked many years at Highland Lumber as their accountant. This instilled in her a great enjoyment of working with figures and she kept meticulous personal records.

She served as a stake missionary in the Bonneville Stake from December 6, 1951 until her release on May 1, 1953. She was called to the Central American Mission on March 31, 1953 by David O. McKay. She married Glenn L. Farnsworth on September 15, 1962, in the Manti Temple.

Her church callings included teacher in Sunday School and Relief Society, ward chorister and visiting teacher. She loved to travel with her husband and sister. They visited Mexico, Carribean, Panama, Alaska, Canada and Israel and many side trips to Flaming Gorge for fishing trips. Her ability to speak Spanish endeared her to many of her caregivers at Pine Ridge Care Center and the Bountiful Hospice. Special thanks to all who assisted her through her last weeks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn and sister Ruth. She is survived by three loving step-children, Joanne Milich, Eldon (Bonnie) Farnsworth and Marilyn (Jan) DeWolf, 10 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Bountiful Hospice or Pine Ridge Care Center.
