Mary Emma Hall Johnson, 90, passed away peacefully at the home of Diane M. Johnson Jan. 29, 2003.

Born in Salt Lake City on May 28, 1912 to Edward James Hall and Elizabeth Wilding Emery. Graduated from East High School in 1929. Married John Edward Johnson on July 15, 1931. Marriage solemnized in the Logan Temple in 1974. She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in many capacities.

Emma was a loving and fun wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will long be remembered for her quick wit and great sense of humor which she maintained to the end. Her cheerful and magnetic personality won her many friends of all ages. She laughed easily often at herself. She loved reading, fishing, gardening, sports, people and parties!

Preceded in death by husband John, son Gary H. Johnson, and all eight siblings. Survived by son John E. Johnson (Marlene); 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the Holladay 28th Ward, 2625 Milo Way. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
