Elli Gertrud Ebert Vick passed away November 19, 2003 of natural cause at the age of 90.
Born July 18, 1913 in Stettin, Germany to August F. and Hedwig Suhr Ebert. Married Martin J. Vick on Nov. 4, 1939, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on Aug. 17, 1957.
Immigrated to Salt Lake City with her husband and children May 1957. Worked for University of Utah Home Living Center and then the Beehive house.
Elli was an active member of the LDS German Speaking Ward. She held several positions in the Young Women Organization and in the Primary. She enjoyed traveling, especially going back to Germany. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Eckhard (Janet) Vick, Sandy; Roland (Candy) Vick, Salt Lake; and daughters, Ellen Hendrickson, Salt Lake; Norma Winters, Coalville; son-in-law Eugen Karp, Salt Lake; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, daughter Edelgard Karp, son-in-law Mickey Winters, grandson Jeff Karp, parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24th, at 11:00 am, in the German Speaking Ward, 721 So. 1200 East, with viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery 3115 East 7800 South Salt Lake City.
