"Wonderful Mother"
Joyce Lottie Woodward Ward, age 74, returned to her loving Heavenly Father and husband, Smith, December 12, 2003 at her home in Taylorsville, Utah.
Born December 4, 1929 in Willard, Utah to George Alfred and Lottie Marsh Woodward. Married Smith Ward, May 21, 1951 in Evanston, Wyoming, and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple December 5, 1999. Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a primary teacher. She shared her beautiful plastic canvas creations with many. Served many years as manager in the kitchen at Valley Jr. High School. The life she led was a legacy to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Denise) Ward; daughter, Rayola Ward-Lujan; 5 grandchildren, Melanie, Megan, Tyler, Sara and Ben; and sister, Velma Madsen. Preceded in death by her husband.
The family wishes to thank all the people at Lifepath Hospice for their loving care of mother. Special thanks to the Southridge Ward and JoAnn Ford for helping our mother in her time of need.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m. at the Southridge Ward, 4232 West 5015 South. Friends may call Sunday, 6-7:30 p.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Monday, 9-9:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Riverside Cemetery.
