Memorial Mortuaries announced three staff changes. Ron Williams has been promoted to Utah sales director. Randall Wood was named executive director of advance planning. Steven Wood was promoted to sales manager.

Amy K. Smedley and Kari A. Tuft have joined the Salt Lake law firm of Snell & Wilmer. Smedley's practice will focus in the area of bankruptcy. She earned her law degree at Brigham Young University. Tuft, a University of Utah College of Law graduate, will focus her practice on commercial litigation.

Dr. Sergio R. Collado has joined the IHC Physician Group at McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden. Collado will provide primary cardiology, cardiovascular and post-open heart medical management. He earned his medical degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Sleepwell Laboratories Inc. has hired three new employees at its sleep diagnostic test center in South Jordan. Jeff Wood has been named general manager for Sleepwell. Wood previously served as coordinator of a sleep study center at the U. He began his medical career in 1982 as a medical specialist/EMT in the U.S. Army. Lori Ream was hired as marketing manager. Ream has served as hospital unit coordinator and polysomnograph technician. She is a graduate of Ottawa University in Arizona and Regis University in Colorado. Debra Gibson was named product manager. Gibson has experience as an office manager, marketing specialist and sales presentative.

Scott F. Lunt has been named director of the Davis County Conference Center and Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. Lunt has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including serving as general manager of several Utah hotels. He received his Certified Hotel Administrator certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

The law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy announced that Evan S. Strassberg has joined the firm as an associate. Strassberg began his career with Van Cott in 1997 as a summer associate. He received his law degree from the U. College of Law and handled construction disputes and other litigation at a Los Angeles law firm before returning to Van Cott.

Dale C. Campbell was named executive vice president at R&O Construction Co., a Salt Lake-based construction company. Campbell will oversee the daily operations of the firm. He is a graduate of Weber State University and has been with R&O Construction for more than 13 years.

Phonex Broadband of Midvale has promoted Brad Warnock to vice president of business development. In his new role, Warnock will manage market development for the company's products. He previously served as director of marketing at Phonex and is a graduate of the U. and Westminster College.

Million Air SLC, a Salt Lake-based aviation services company, has appointed Michael Parker as director of sales and marketing. Parker most recently served as sales director for another aviation company in Wichita, Kan. He is a graduate of Westminster College.

Cornerstone Counseling, a Salt Lake-based counseling treatment center, announced several team changes, as well as its new chairman of the board. Susan Osguthorpe, clinical support manager at the VA Hospital, was named 2004 chairwoman. Tiffany Wolf was hired as receptionist. Eric Hockstadt joined the center as an accountant. Hockstadt has 25 years of hospital financial management experience.

Corda Technologies Inc., a Lindon-based developer of interactive Web-based charting and mapping solutions, has appointed Ron Garland as vice president of sales. Garland has more than 23 years of technology sales experience, most recently serving as territory manager for another technology company in Salt Lake City.

Myriad Genetics Inc., a Salt Lake-based biopharmaceuticals firm, has elected Robert S. Attiyeh to its board of directors. Attiyeh has served as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and corporate development at Amgen. He also is a former director of the Federal Reserve Board of San Francisco. Myriad also named Dale A. Stringfellow as its chairman. Stringfellow has served on the board of directors at Myriad for 12 years and has more than 30 years of operating experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

ClearOne Communications, a Salt Lake-based provider of video, audio and teleconferencing products and services, has named Zeynep Hakimoglu as vice president of product management. She will be responsible for product development and management, product design and engineering management. Hakimoglu has more than 15 years of senior-level high-tech management experience. She is a graduate of California State College at Sonoma and Drexel University.

Linda Hamilton-Oar has been promoted to region sales director for Avon Products Inc. She will oversee the day-to-day sales force activities for 11 states and the U.S. territories of Guam and Saipan. Hamilton-Oar joined Avon in 1992 as a district manager in Tennessee. She also has served the Western Region since 2000 as a mentor for division managers. Hamilton-Oar will be based in Pasadena, Calif., but will continue to make her home in Draper.

Shar Chrysler, vice president and co-owner of Spot Check Mobile, has been elected to the 2003-2004 board of directors for the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce. Spot Check Mobile is a full-service auto maintenance and repair business.

SoundTube Entertainment, a Park City-based developer of high performance speaker systems, has named Duke Ducoff as director of sales. Ducoff has 25 years of experience in the professional audio industry. He has served in executive sales and marketing positions and most recently served as director of business development for another company.
