Regarding Dec. 12, what is going on here? Is this America or some Southern Hemisphere country?
I appreciate our Southern neighbors and their celebrations; however, it puzzles me that we seem to be confused about who we are, where we are and how we got to this point. In case anyone remembers, we are America, the greatest country in the world.
I am not against immigrants coming to this great country. They are one of the reasons it is great. But to come, with a huge chip on their shoulder, demanding that we conform to their ways is simply not appropriate.
When someone comes to my home, if I have a sign on the door that asks them to take off their shoes, they have a choice. They can either take off their shoes when they enter or they can leave.
This analogy applies here. These aliens can come, work at learning English, try to adapt to our ways, participate and join in or get out.
