EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Sami Kapanen scored a goal and set up two others to rally the Philadelphia Flyers to a 3-3 tie with the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.
Keith Primeau got the game-tying goal with less than seven minutes left in regulation and Donald Brashear also scored for the Flyers, who took 40 shots at Martin Brodeur in extending their current streak to 13-1-5.
The Flyers' only loss in their streak was to New Jersey.
Jay Pandolfo, Scott Niedermayer and Patrik Elias scored for the Devils, who managed 21 shots against a shaky Jeff Hackett in improving to 13-2-5.
Philadelphia leads the Devils by six points in the Atlantic Division.
THRASHERS 6, PENGUINS 3: At Atlanta, Slava Kozlov scored for the fifth straight game, tying a franchise record, and Atlanta won its fourth in a row by beating Pittsburgh.
Marc Savard added a goal and two assists, and Shawn McEachern also scored for Atlanta, which increased its lead in the Southeast Division to five points over Tampa Bay.
Serge Aubin scored an empty-net goal with 2:24 left to seal it.
Thrashers goaltender Byron Dafoe started for the second consecutive game, the first time that's happened this season, and he won his third straight.
BLUES 3, BLUE JACKETS 2: At Columbus, Ohio, Doug Weight scored with 8.7 seconds left in overtime to lift St. Louis over Columbus.
Rick Nash scored his NHL-leading 19th goal midway through the third period as the Blue Jackets came back from a two-goal deficit. Andrew Cassels added his fourth goal.
Jamal Mayers and Tkachuk scored for the Blues, who ran their unbeaten streak to five (4-0-1).
PANTHERS 4, CANADIENS 2: At Sunrise, Fla., Viktor Kozlov, Matt Cullen and Juraj Kolnik scored third-period goals to help Florida snap its six-game winless streak. Olli Jokinen also scored for the Panthers, 0-2-3-1 during their skid.
Richard Zednik and Saku Koivu scored first-period goals to give Montreal a 2-0 lead.
The Canadiens lost for only the second time in eight games. Montreal, which beat the Rangers on Wednesday night, has not won consecutive games since their sixth and seventh games of the season.
RANGERS 3, SABRES 1: At Buffalo, N.Y., Anson Carter had a goal and an assist, and Jussi Markkanen made 19 saves to push New York past Buffalo.
Alex Kovalev and Petr Nedved also scored for the Rangers, who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Curtis Brown scored the only goal for Buffalo, which lost its fourth straight.
Mika Noronen made 31 saves for Buffalo after missing Wednesday's game against Detroit because of a cut on his neck sustained during practice.
OILERS 3, COYOTES 3: At Phoenix, Radek Dvorak scored a power-play goal with 7:46 left in regulation to lift Edmonton into a tie with Phoenix.
Daymond Langkow, Ladislav Nagy and Fredrik Sjostrom scored for the Coyotes. Ryan Smyth and Fernando Pisani also scored for Edmonton.
STARS 1, BLACKHAWKS 0: At Dallas, Bill Guerin scored with 5:41 to play and Marty Turco made 16 saves for his 14th career shutout to help Dallas snap a five-game losing streak.
Guerin converted Mike Modano's pass from the right corner for his 16th goal.
