Police say a Fort Union sandwich shop was robbed Friday night by a man brandishing a gun.

Police received a robbery call just after 9 p.m. from the Subway sandwich shop at 2424 E. Fort Union Boulevard. An employee said a man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt walked into the store and brandished the butt of a gun.

Salt Lake County Sheriff Sgt. Scott VanWagoner said the man fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
