Dec. 16
Voice Male Christmas concert is at 7 p.m. in the Show Barn at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. Tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $7 each purchased in groups of six. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or at the Barn box office.
The Utah Valley Regional Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker" opens at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU. Performances are scheduled through Saturday with a matinee at 2 p.m. that day. Tickets are $24 for main floor, $18 main floor sides and rear, $10 balcony with $2 off for students. Call 378-4322.

Dec. 18
Children and their parents can ride the Polar Express — also known as Heber Valley Railroad — through Tuesday between Heber City and Provo's Vivian Park. Trains leave at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Rides include stories, hot chocolate, cookies and visits from Santa's elves. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children 3-12 and are available through Smith'sTix outlets.
Provo "Christmas Cruise" is open through Dec. 31, featuring two excursion riverboats that can take 40 people each on a 30-minute river ride. Boats leave every half hour from 3606 W. Center, Provo, starting at 6:30 p.m. and going until 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 6:30-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $5 per person and $15 per family.
"Sounds of Christmas," a classical guitar performance by the Wasatch School of Music, is offered in the Story Circle at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Provo Library at Academy Square, 550 N. University Ave.
Dec. 19
The Peaks Figure Skating Club at the Peaks Ice Arena in Provo, 1330 E. 300 North, will hold its annual Christmas recital at 7 p.m. at the Peaks. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for children 3-12. Children under 3 are free.
The Friday night movie at the Provo Library at Academy Square, 550 N. University Ave., is "White Christmas." The movie starts at 6:30 in Room 201. Moviegoers may bring pillows, blankets and treats.
Dec. 20
The American Fork Community Choir, under the direction of Don Ripplinger, will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. in the Alpine Tabernacle, 100 E. and State. The concert is free. Those attending are asked to bring a can of food.
Holiday lights are on display at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, 5-10 p.m. each evening except Sunday. Lights will be up until Jan. 3. Admission is $7 per car, $13 for large vehicles. Wagon rides are $3 per person.
"Scrooge" is playing at the Museum at the Peaks until Monday. A Christmas dinner buffet is also offered. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 for the show and buffet, $8 for the show only. Call 373-1798 for more information.

The American Fork Community Choir will present a free Christmas concert at 7 p.m. in the Alpine Tabernacle. Children are encouraged to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring canned food for donation to the local food bank.
