WOMEN'S SOCCER: Four Utes have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2003 All-West Region teams. Senior midfielder Amber Brower made the first team. Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Mason, junior midfielder Tracy Stratton and freshman forward Amanda Feigt were placed on the second team.
Brower led the Utes with nine goals this season-including six game-winners-and had four assists. The Hyrum native was named the MWC Offensive Player of the Year, first team all-conference, and second team CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII.
Mason allowed just 0.301 goals per game this season to rank first in the nation. A native of Sunnyvale, Calif., Mason made 58 saves in 16 games.
Stratton was a major contributor to Utah's defense that gave up just 0.436 goals per game to rank second in the NCAA, behind only national champion North Carolina. Feigt was second on the team with five goals and led the way with eight assists. The Sandy native was named the 2003 MWC Freshman of the Year and first team all-conference.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: The Aggies (0-4) look for their first win of the season as they host the Division-I provisional Northern Colorado Bears (6-2) today at 3 p.m. This is the Aggies' first home game since falling 79-60 in their season opener to Southern Utah on Nov. 21.
USU is led in scoring by sophomore center Ali Aird who is averaging 11 points and 5.8 rebounds a game. Freshman guard Christina Zdenek is second in scoring averaging 9.5 a game.
The Aggies next face Utah Valley State College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Fourteen UVSC first-half turnovers and an impressive Long Island second half shooting effort equaled a Wolverine loss, 62-46, in the first game of the Cyclone Classic at Ames, Iowa. LIU took 17 three-pointers in the first half, connecting on five. In the second half the Wolverine defense stepped up, forcing 13 LIU turnovers. The Wolverines will play in the consolation game of the Cyclone Classic today at 4:30 p.m. MST against the loser of Iowa State/Texas Southern.
WRESTLING: The UVSC wrestling team will take on Western State College tonight at 7 at the UVSC Activity Center.
