NEW YORK (AP) — Gilbert Arenas went back on the injured list Sunday after playing just one game for the Washington Wizards since returning from an abdominal injury.

The Wizards did not activate anyone to replace Arenas, leaving Washington with 11 players for Sunday night's game against the Knicks.

Arenas missed eight games with a strained abdominal muscle before returning Friday night against Minnesota. He had nine points and four assists in 24 minutes of a 110-91 loss.

"He didn't really re-injure himself," Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said. "It's just very sore, a little more sore than he expected.

Rookie Steve Blake replaced Arenas at point guard in the starting lineup.
