Vairanica Driffill Bezzant passed away on December 14, 2003 in her home encircled in the arms of those she loved.
Born August 20, 1926 in Magna, Utah. She graduated from Cyprus High School, class of '44. She married her friend and companion of 53 years, Neldon O. Bezzant on December 26, 1946.
She worked for the Federal Government for over 20 years. A loving and protective mother dedicated to raising a supportive and happy family. She was an example of compassion to those in need; friends, neighbors, and special children like her deceased brother, Tommy boy. She enjoyed fishing with Nellie and trips to the west desert. She loved the horse races and going to the casinos. She was involved with Neldon in the VFW and VFW Auxiliary Post 7398 in Magna, Utah, serving as president of the VFW Auxiliary.
Survived by her children, Bill (Ione) Bezzant, Marilyn (Jed) Taylor, Douglas (Margean) Bezzant, Christine (Jeff) Sandall, and Pamela (David) Slack; sister, Peggy Barber; brother, Frank Driffill; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., where friends may call both Thurs., 6-8 p.m. and Fri. one hour prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
