1926 ~ 2003

OGDEN<! >

On December 13, 2003, Sid Cook passed peacefully from this life and into the next.

He was born on February 11, 1926, to Merlin and Hilda Jane Woodyatt Cook in Willard, UT. He received his education in the Willard school and Box Elder High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On June 7, 1946, he married his childhood sweetheart and true love, Joyce Nicholas. Together they lived in Ogden, UT for 57 years where he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the bishopric of the Ogden 56th Ward, along with many other callings. He dedicated 27 years of his life to the Scouting program. Many of his most precious memories, and closest friends, were made exploring the outdoors and molding the lives of young men.

He will be remembered for his intense patriotism, his love of animals and nature, his gentle demeanor, and the way he showed his love for you by the way he held his eyes. His devotion to his wife was resolute until the very end; she was his life.
