"Loving Mother and Grandma"

Florence Almeda MacNeil Ray, 87, passed away December 14, 2003.

She was born September 10, 1916 in Kaysville, Utah to Clouide and Kitty Flem MacNeil. She married Marvin LaVerle Ray in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 27, 1936. He preceded her in death.

Florence served as Bingham Women's Civic Club President. She was active in the LDS Church and her activities included Primary and Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society secretary, visiting teacher and counselor, and compassionate service leader. Mom was a neat lady who loved her family and desired for them to always be happy. She loved the outdoors and was a wonderful quilter.

Survivors: children, Russell J. Ray (JoAnne), Copperton; Marvin LeRoy Ray (Jackie), Salt Lake City; MacNeil Ray (Peggy), Willard; Charlene Gillen (Kerry), Magna; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and five great, great, grandchildren; brother, Norman F. MacNeil (Laura), Midvale; sister, Ruby Slotte, Midvale. Preceded in death by sons, George Henry Ray and Robert Richard Ray; grandson, Steven David Ray; brothers, Clarence MacNeil, Henry MacNeil; sister, Viola Milner.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at 12 Noon in the Copperton LDS Ward Chapel, Copperton, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Tuesday 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m.

Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
