Frank Gull, age 78, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 12, 2003 due to a lingering illness.

Frank was born June 11, 1925 in Spanish Fork, Utah to David Edward and Sarah Alice Thompson Gull. He married Arlene Johnson on November 6, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They are the parents of George Edward Gull (Lucy), Robert J. Gull (Janice), both of Palmyra, Utah; Lenna Jean Mendenhall (John) of Spanish Fork, Utah; and Jay Frank Gull (Jada) of Salem, Utah; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Frank was a lifelong farmer. He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings including Bishopric, High Councilor, and Church Service Mission. Frank loved his family, friends, farm, and the outdoors. He had an outgoing personality and enjoyed visiting with people. He was instrumental in helping to organize the Palmyra Chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and really enjoyed his association with them.

He is survived by his wife and children; a sister, Mirl Miller of Pleasant Grove, Utah; a brother, David Elmore Gull (Beth) of Wales, Utah; and a sister, Dorothy Smith (Leon) of Spanish Fork, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild, Quentin Vorwaller; brothers, Grant and Ned; and sisters, Gladys, Vivian, and Clara.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, and on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Palmyra Ward Chapel, 1850 W. 5000 S. prior to the funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery immediately after the services.
