The Idaho Potato Commission is offering a free "Spuddy Buddy Recipe Calendar" that alternates 12 months of 8 1/2-by-11-inch calendar pages with facing pages featuring 12 recipes.
The dishes for which recipes are given — they include Mexican tortilla soup for May, and potato and ricotta latkes for December — are shown in color, and nutrition tips are also tucked into the pages. The cartoon figure Spuddy Buddy also makes colorful appearances.
The calendar may be ordered by sending four 37-cent stamps to cover postage, and a 3-by-5-inch card or sized piece of paper with name and full mailing address clearly printed on it (to be used as an address label for the return mailing) to: Idaho Potato Commission, Attn. 2004 Spuddy Buddy Calendar Offer, 599 West Bannock St., Boise, ID 83702.
