Obituary: Lloyd Charles Keel

FILLMORE, UT <! > - Lloyd Charles Keel, died March 8, 2003 of heart failure.

He was born March 30, 1926 in Beaver, UT to Charles and Chloe Baldwin Keele. At age 9, his family moved to Fillmore, UT where he lived the rest of his life. He attended schools in Fillmore and served two years in the Navy during World War II.

Lloyd married Dawnetta Beaumont June 1, 1946, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple March 1, 1980.

He is survived by his wife; children, Sandra (Art) Catlin, Payson, UT, Jeffrey (Jolynn) Keel, Overton, NV, Sydney Ann, Park City, UT, Laurie (Mike) Holt, Tracy (Lynnette) Keel, Fillmore; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; brothers and sisters, Eula (Jack) Howard, Nephi, Vance (Shirley) Keele, Ilene Buckley, Tooele, UT, Bonnie (Lee) James, Carol (Dave) Watson, Salt Lake City, UT, Lola (Mac) Ma-theny, Loveland, CO, Don (Starla) Keele, Fillmore, UT.

Lloyd was self employed. He loved beekeeping and raising animals. He enjoyed all sports, especially if it involved his children or grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He was a friend to many and loved to visit with people.

Lloyd was a member of the LDS Church where he served as Cub Master, president of Sunday School, home teacher and a member of the Seventies Quorum.

Services will be Wed. March 12, 2003, 12 noon Fillmore LDS Stake Center. Friends may call Tues. March 11, 7-9 p.m. Olpin Southern Utah Mortuary, Fillmore and Wed. March 12, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center, prior to the funeral. Inter-ment, Fillmore Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 61, Fillmore, UT.
