Obituary: Clara McGuire Anderson

"Together Again"

Clara McGuire Anderson, 85, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away Sunday, March 9, 2003 in Salt Lake City, surrounded by her family.

Clara was born August 26, 1917 in Daniel, Utah the secnd oldest child out of 10 to Bernard and Minnie McGuire. She lost her father at a young age and was a big help to her mother in raising the other children. She married Ray Walter Anderson September 25, 1941, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in various callings. Clara always enjoyed gardening and made a point to have flowers planted in her garden in the spring. She enjoyed having family over for barbecues in her backyard, and was always willing to give and help others.

Survived by her children, Larry (Claudia) Anderson, WA, and Kathleen (Jim) Day; grandchildren; great grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; and two brothers.

Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the University of Utah Hospital for their excellent care and compassion in helping Clara through her stay there. A special thanks to her friend, Ruth Peterson for always being there to help.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003 at the Magna Stake Center, 3084 South 8400 West. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Thursday 11-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
