Derail malpractice greed

I agree wholeheartedly with our president as he pushes to put a cap on all malpractice claims. With greed running rampant in our country and throughout the world, I see no better way to limit the amount of money these people take out of insurance companies.

With the rising cost of health care and insurance premiums, we are to blame for cases where the plaintiff is awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars.

There are, of course, doctors who do foul up. In such cases, patients do deserve to receive compensation for their ails. But I cannot recall a situation where my pain and suffering, or anyone else's for that matter, has exceeded the healthy sum of $250,000. President Bush, attempt to lower our insurance rates and medical costs, or attempt to derail the greed that runs rampant in our society. For indeed, "no one has ever been healed by a frivolous lawsuit."
