PORT SULFUR, La. — Despite cold weather, families from the New Orleans Louisiana Stake helped pick more than 35,000 pounds of oranges in a service project to help the needy. More than 100 families from the New Orleans area helped pick in the orchard owned by George Harrigan, who is not a member of the Church. The majority of the oranges were donated to the Second Harvesters Food Bank; others were donated to people in need known to the families that picked the fruit.
