ALTA — Attorney Paul Moxley has been chosen to serve on the Alta Town Council.
Moxley was chosen from a group of seven candidates who applied to replace Jody Shrontz. Shrontz, 55, and her husband Duane died in a small-plane crash in Arizona in January.
Moxley lives in Blackjack Condominiums and is president of the condominiums' homeowners association.
He was selected by the Town Council.
In 2000, Moxley became the first Utah lawyer to be named an officer of the National Council of Bar Presidents. He also is a member of the American Bar Association's standing committee on judicial independence.
