Obituary: Richard Dean White

10/13/34 ~ 2/28/03

Richard Dean White, age 68, returned to his Father in Heaven February 28, 2003.

Dick was born Oct 13, 1934 in Park City, UT to Drucilla H. and William Dudley White. He married LaVon T. Perry Feb 17, 1955, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Feb 17, 1978.

Dick loved playing golf with his sons and grandsons, he had a contagious smile and a great sense of humor. He was a fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Survived by wife, LaVon; sons, Don (Cynthia), Rocky (MaryAnn); daughters, Debbie (Judd Mackintosh), Robyn (Mike Lichtie), (Darren Wartena); and 16 grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Holly Wartena, parents and three brothers.

We would like to give thanks for the Hospice Group of Vista Care, workers, and nurses, Heather, Rebecca, Dr. Gary Garner, and therapist, Ron Day for their tender care.

Dick served our country in the Korean War. Worked for Intermountain Glass 13 years as a Glazier, was a Business Agent for local 911, worked for Job Corps, was an international Rep for AFLCIO for 16 years. Recently retired 1997, and moved to St. George for six years, and then to Bluffdale, UT Jan, 2003.

Services will be Wed. March 5, 2003, 12 noon Brighton LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 2561 E. Bengal Blvd. Friends may call Tues. March 4, 2003 6-9 p.m. Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd, and Wed. one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Mt. View Memorial Estates.
