If you go to Dublin

Irish government tourist offices are located in the arrivals hall at Dublin airport, at the ferry terminal in Dun Laoghaire and near downtown hotels at Ireland House at Baggot Street Bridge and St. Andrew's Church on Suffolk Street in Temple Bar.

For literary maps and brochures, contact Tourism Ireland at 345 Park Ave., New York City, phone (800) 223-6470; fax (212) 371-9052.

For hotels and guest houses:

A firm called "Dublin Literary & Historical Performance Tours" offers guided treks of writers' sites around the city and its environs. Phone 088-561-831.

All sites mentioned are reachable on foot or by bus, except the Joyce Museum in the Martello tower, which is within walking distance of the Sandycove station on the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit), a municipal rail line that follows the coast around the city.
