Shaunna Platt, after a valiant fight against a rare form of liver cancer, stepped quietly away from her mortal existence to join her Heavenly Father, family and friends who had gone before. In her last moments and in the arms of her loving husband Jim, Shaunna expressed her honest love for "ALL" of her children she has come to know and love: Jennifer, Jacob, Scott, Shannon, Tyler, Kimberly, Spencer and Katy. She had as much love as anybody had to give and lavished it on her whole family and friends and especially on her thirteen grandchildren.
Shaunna was the only child born to her loving parents Larry and Beverly Naylor in Salt Lake City, Utah. After her education, she worked in the electrical equipment sales industry where, in her later years she met and married her husband of thirteen years, Jim Platt. Jim and Shaunna established their home in the mountains surrounding Monroe, Washington; and there she devoted the rest of her time to her cats and dogs, gardening, gourmet cooking and her neighbors. She always had time for someone else's needs and she was gracious in the giving of her heart, her time and her talents to others.
We love you Shaunna, and if love alone could heal, you would still be with us today. We will miss you. Rest comfortably in the arms of God until we meet again soon.
