Tonight on TV

NCAA basketball tournament: Weber State vs. Wisconsin (5:25 p.m., Ch. 2); Utah State vs. Kansas (7:30 p.m., Ch. 2). And Friday's early games are Kentucky vs. IUPUI (10:30 a.m., Ch. 2) and Utah vs. Oregon (12:50 p.m., Ch. 2).

Profiles from the Front Line (7 p.m., Ch. 4): American troops capture members of al-Qaida.

Friends (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Chandler faces Christmas alone in Tulsa. (Repeat)

Frank DeCaro Big O Special (7 p.m., Comedy Central): "The Daily Show's" movie critic makes his (comedic) Oscar picks.

Scrubs (7:30 p.m., Ch. 5): J.D. dates a woman whose husband is in a coma.

Family Affair (7:30 p.m., Ch. 30): Sissy, Buffy and Jody aren't crazy about the children of Uncle Bill's new girlfriend.

Are You Hot? (8 p.m., Ch. 4): This offensive, boring and stupid show draws to an end — and, happily, its ratings have been bad.

Will & Grace (8 p.m., Ch. 5): The first half of a two-parter in which Grace and Leo tie the knot. (Repeat)

The Pulse (8 p.m., Ch. 13): This hard-hitting Fox newsmagazine (that's sarcasm, of course) has scheduled hard-hitting reports (more sarcasm) on two of today's biggest stories (yes, more sarcasm) — the contestants on Fox's "American Idol" and Wanda Sykes, the star of the new Fox sitcom "Wanda at Large." Maybe they'll have time to squeeze in something on, I dunno, the war in Iraq. (Yes, still more sarcasm.)

On the Spot (8:30 p.m., Ch. 30): This sitcom that combines scripted and improv material isn't half as amusing as it thinks it is.
