Tired of spam? University of Utah experts have suggestions to minimize the nuisance:Don't share your e-mail address indiscriminately. Be selective.
If you have friends who add your address to long lists of people they message, ask them to remove it. Spammers love long lists.
If you get objectionable spam, report it to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection or to the Federal Trade Commission at firstname.lastname@example.org, telephone 1-877-382-4357.
If the direction "to be removed" appears in the header, do not click on it.
Change your e-mail address if necessary.
