Steven Gene Morby passed away quietly at his home in Midvale, Utah on 18 March, 2003.
Steve, born 14 August, 1951, was the fifth child born to Conard H. Morby and Caryl May Corum Morby. Steve was born in Murray, Utah and lived his life in the Murray-Salt Lake City area. Steve attended Granite High School and was a member of the football team. Steve had a special love for life and lived it on his terms. His loves included and were centered around his children and his fellowship with the Barons Club for more than 30 years. He loved to ride his Harley while enjoying his special friends. Steve will be missed by his many family and friends; for Steve gave his love of life to his children, family and friends alike, accompanied by his special kindred spirit.
Steve was preceded in death by wife Julie W. Soccol Morby; father Conard Harold; mother Caryl May; sister Barbara Kay; brothers Gary Gene, Melvin Dale; and Dale's sons Michael and Charles Morby.
Surviving are Tammy Wilson, of Salt Lake City; Amber Sleight, Brigham City; daughters born to Steve and the late Julie W. Soccol Morby: Caroline DeVries (divorced); daughter
Amanda son David of Salt Lake; brother Terry R. (Paula) Morby, Malad, Id; sister Caryl Ann (Jim) Bigelow), Murray; grandchildren: Grayson, Karsten, Kendall and Kallee; special aunts, Lois Odle; Deane Thackery, Ida May Trujillo, and Peg Rallins.
Viewing will be held at Memorial Estate Funeral Home Chapel, 5850 South 900 East on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 1:00 p.m., followed with service at 2:00. Interment at Murray City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse).
