AMERICAN FORK — As the war is raging in Iraq, the city of American Fork will honor veterans at a concert tonight.
The 23rd Army Band and the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir will perform together as part of American Fork's sesquicentennial celebration.
"The program was put together by other people in the choir and band," said Darin Chipman, a member of the sesquicentennial committee. "We asked about going ahead and honoring some veterans in the area."
Although the concert is free to the public, those attending are invited to bring a cake mix per family to donate for a celebration later this year.
The concert is at 7:30 p.m. in the LDS Tabernacle at 110 E. Main.
