Kiwanis Club requests baby supply donations

The Capitol Hill Kiwanis Club invites the public to contribute baby formula, food, diapers, soap and anything else babies and young children need, to the Babycare Cupboard at the Crossroads Urban Center, 347 S. 400 East, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donations from the "Don't Forget the Babies" fund and supply drive each April serve about 60 babies each week and the need for baby supplies has increased 31 percent since last year, according to Linda Hilton at Crossroads Urban Center. Baby care in needy families is often neglected and babies don't eat the adult foods that are collected in regular food drives.

People can also send donations to the Kiwanis Babycare Cupboard, P.O. Box 2124, Salt Lake City, UT 84110-2124. For more information call 521-5751.
