Gas leaks trigger flames and set 2 homes ablaze

EATON, Colo. (AP) — Natural gas leaking from a large pipeline sent flames shooting hundreds of feet into the air and set two houses ablaze before being brought under control. No injuries were reported.

At its peak, the fire could be seen from the northern Denver suburbs, about 50 miles away.

The cause of Sunday's fire on the Colorado Interstate Gas line wasn't known but authorities were looking for the driver of a sport utility vehicle seen leaving the area right before an explosion.
