Obituary: Dorothy H. Williams

Williams, 75, passed away March 26, 2003, of causes incident to age.

She was born September 1, 1927 in Bolton, Lancashire, England, to William and Elizabeth Edmundson Heap. She came to the United States aboard the Queen Mary in May 1947 to marry her sweetheart, Eugene Newton Williams, whom she met during World War II while he was stationed in England. They married in New Haven, CT, on May 13, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1991.

She retired from a civil service career at Hill Air Force Base and was active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; also a member of Ladies of Elks. She loved to dance and even won a "jitterbug" contest in her youth.

She is survived by her two daughters; Melissa (David) Grundvig and Mary (Michael) Meloni, Bountiful; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Mom, thank you for all your wisdom and caring. May you rest in peace.

Memorial services will by held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday March 29, 2003 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call at 1:30 p.m. prior to services.
