To say that Tammy Riddle Christensen's comments (March 25) are "off the wall" and off base would be grossly understated.
First, she claims that Iraqi citizens "obliquely resemble" the perpetrators of Sept. 11. It seems to escape her perception that there are a number of terrorist training camps inside Iraq.
She also refers to "botched diplomacy." Is she suggesting that the United States' tolerance of years of lies and deceit by Iraq is really "botched diplomacy"?
She also stresses that the United States should "be campaigning for the welfare of the Iraqi citizens and provide a fair restoration of their nation." What planet has she been living on that she has failed to realize what our troops are doing in Iraq?
