Obituary: John Parker Earl

8/23/1924 ~ 2/27/2003

John Parker Earl, age 78, passed away February 27, 2003, of natural causes.

Jack was born Aug 23, 1924, in American Fork, UT to Lowell Allen Earl and Mary Ann Parker. He married Velma M. Fullmer July 3, 1947. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Jack was a World War II veteran. He worked for Mountain Bell for 36 years. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jack and Velma served as family history missionaries in Salt Lake City. He also served as a stake missionary. He enjoyed fishing, family outings and watching his children and grandchildren participate in sporting events. Jack and Velma raised their children in Midvale, UT and lived there 40 years. Dad was very easy going and liked by all. He will be greatly missed. We love you, Dad.

Survived by his brother, Bob; seven children; 27 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry; sister, Jane; and wife, Velma.

Services will be Wed. March 5, 2003, 11 a.m. Midvale LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 7825 S. Olympus St, Midvale, UT. Friends may call Tues. March 4, 6-8 p.m. Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St, and Wed. 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, American Fork Cemetery.
