DOUBLE TROUBLE

Steve Francis turned in a double-double with 18 points and 12 assists to lead Houston to a 102-89 victory over Denver on Saturday night. Seven of the nine Rockets players scored in double figures, including all five starters. Eddie Griffin also had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, Cuttino Mobley scored 12 points and James Posey and Yao Ming each had 11 among the opening unit. Maurice Taylor led the reserves with 15 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, and Kelvin Cato added 14 points and six blocks.

DOMINATING

San Antonio defeated Utah for the 12th straight time, 101-81, Saturday night. The Spurs' win, their 15th in their last 18 games, also snapped the Jazz's six-game winning streak. ... Boston beat Cleveland for the 10th time in a row, 109-106.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

Ricky Davis scored 38 points for Cleveland, which lost to Boston for the second straight night, 109-106, on Saturday. Davis has averaged 33 points in four games against the Celtics, all losses. ... Antawn Jamison had 28 points to lead Golden State, which scored just two baskets in the final 6:30 in losing to New Jersey 109-97.
