The Utah State University Extension in Salt Lake will present a class to discuss the role insurance plays in lessening household financial risks.
The class will be held at noon on March 11 in Room S-1007 of the Salt Lake County Government Center, 2001 S. State. Topics will include the various types of insurance and the ways insurance can be used to lessen financial risk.
The class is free.
The USU Extension also will offer a two-part seminar for first-time homebuyers. The classes will run from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 13 and 19 in the south building of the Salt Lake County Government Center.
Participants will receive information about preparing to buy a home, finding the right home, shopping for a Realtor, lender and title company and beginning life as a homeowner.
